White pebble bays on the east coast and majestic white cliffs and deep caves on the west give families a range of things to explore. For the “intrepid” there are walks through flower filled olive groves, gentle fishing, snorkelling and diving. The crystal clear water of the Ionian islands has to be witnessed at first hand. It is said that the sea is so blue that it reflects on the undersides of the seagulls as they fly across the water!
For families with teenagers or 20 somethings nearby Gaios offers some gentle night life and the only night club on the island. There are some great restaurants nearby and a good choice of bars.
It is possible to charter a yacht or motor boat to lunch on Anti Paxos (2km) or just to explore the hidden beauty in every bay, drop the anchor and swim through the mysterious caves that dot the coastline. Eating out on Paxos is a total pleasure. The local restaurants are of a very high standard serving both traditional Greek food and the most delicious Italian cuisine.
This is a fabulous property which has been built by owners who know and love Paxos. This would be the perfect place to spend some down time from the stress of everyday life. The owners have gone to great lengths to ensure comfort is paramount. The interiors have been beautifully decorated and the brand new kitchen is a delight to any foodie.
The house has big rooms, high ceilings and cool stone floors. There is so much space both inside and out and the views are to DIE for – looking down on the bay of Mogonissi (where there is a sandy beach for little ones) is so inviting.
White sheets and china only add to the whole ensuring uncomplicated and simple details. Bathrooms are clean-lined and fresh.
It is a short stroll down to the little bay below where you can have an early morning dip and pick up your boat to head off to Anti Paxos and the neighboring little bays.
The terrace by the house has a pool and a jacuzzi and is the perfect spot to watch the billowing sails of yachts coming and going while sipping a cold glass of wine.
We are thrilled to be able to offer this house to our guests, there is a second house nearby owned by the same people and has been built to the same high standard. The two houses can be taken separately or together so that two families could holiday simultaneously without being on top of each other. Enjoy a delicious dinner with your friends on the terrace then go your separate ways until the following morning – perfect!
