Local Information

Paxos boasts some of the bluest waters in Europe, you would be forgiven for dreaming that you were in the Caribbean.  With its endless olive groves and warm waters, Paxos is the most glorious island year round.
There is no airport on the island which has enabled Paxos to retain its simplicity and there is something very pure about the place.

Mass tourism has certainly not reached this idyllic spot, the tavernas are properly local but, due to the attraction of the island to the Italian visitor in recent years the standard of food is amazing for such a small place.
Enjoy delicious home made pasta, glorious salads and scrumptious fresh fish in great surroundings.

Take a boat to visit the white sands of Anti Paxos for the day – book lunch on the beach there and leave your boat bobbing just a few metres away in the blue bay – there is no marina in Anti Paxos, just drop your anchor and swim ashore!

For those cocktail lovers there is the trendy Ben’s beach with its decking and dancing at sunset…certainly the place to go and see the beautiful Italians.  Swim around into Lakkos Bay just by Lakka for the ultimate in barefoot chic.

Those who visit Paxos go back time and time again.

Our View

If you’re looking for a cool beach house with a wonderful barefoot vibe, right on the sea and walking distance from a stunning little village on a Greek island then look no further. This is a delightful home in the north of Paxos with stunning views across the turquoise sea.

Sleeping 11 people in 6 bedrooms, this house is a wonderful place to base yourselves, perfect for exploring the stunning coast of Paxos.

The pool is built on a hill above the little beach of Arkoudaki which stretches from the bottom of the path leading down from the garden. Swim with dolphins before breakfast and climb back up to the house to show off about it!

The house feels like a home with artfully decorated bedrooms with a unique vibe. The bathrooms are a little old fashioned but all work well. There is a lovely terrace with comfy sofas and chairs which stretches along the front of the house, a second terrace ’room’ is next door with tables and chairs (ideal for candlelit suppers).

Sometimes there is no need for a swimming pool as the sea is just there, inviting and tempting. The owners have created a sunbathing area down near the sea complete with sail shades and seating. What an oasis to go to for drinks in the evening!

Lakka is in walking distance which is such a bonus – in 15 mins be in this gorgeous fishing village for a scrumptious fish supper. Lakka has boats, small supermarkets and a great ice cream shop.

Swimming, boating and walking, this house is all about the position above the beach, we think you’ll have a great time here. We love it!
