We didn't know this part of Turkey, it was fun being able to get into Bodrum as quickly as we could get to the beach!

Local Information

Jasmine House overlooks a picturesque valley and the Aegean Sea. It sits between the two seas so it is possible to go in every direction – and there is so much to do.

Take a boat across to Kos for the day (only 20 miles) – either a skippered boat or go in a group.
Head to Bitez for the day and have lunch at one of the beachside cafes.
Enjoy a day on a gulet boat exploring the stunning coastline, drop the anchor in any one of the turquoise bays for swimming and snorkelling before having lunch and drinks on the boat.
Have dinner and drinks in the buzzy town of Bodrum. Shop there for local olive wood goods, hand made jewellery, Turkish carpets and much much more.
Spend the day at one of the peninsula’s many beach clubs where there are watersports and great restaurants.
Shop in the local food market for home made baclava or Turkish delight.
Play golf.
Use the local sailing school (great for children wanting to learn to sail).
Shop in the brand new marina at nearby Yalikavak.
Play tennis at any one of the nearby courts.
Our View

If you are looking for a peaceful, private villa that feels like home away from home then Jasmine House is your perfect retreat. The house is found through a private gateway down a beautiful driveway. It is a very large privately-owned villa with really big rooms, infact space is something that this house boasts everywhere!

The garden is glorious, so much lawn which is exceptionally rare in this part of Turkey, beautiful (big) terraces with lots of shaded seating in comfortable chairs. Sit on the large terrace or under the trees in the shade if you prefer.

Every bedroom has its own bathroom, some of the bedrooms also have good sized dressing rooms. Stunning Turkish rugs adorn the floors and there are examples of artefacts the owners have collected on their travels.

The floors are tiled throughout, sofas are luxurious with puffed cushions and beautiful textiles. The bathrooms are large and luxy – some of the baths are jacuzzis too, we were really impressed with the level of luxury in the bed, bath and dressing rooms.

A pool table is a generous addition and there is also a sauna… the kidney-shaped pool is through the garden and down below the house – great if you want to get away from noisy children. The views from the pool are wonderful. Gaze across the peninsular to Yalikava over the Yakakov Valley to the Greek island of Kos and on to the tip of the Datca Peninsula.

The gardens have been thoughtfully planted – there is even a pebble garden with cacti, penisettum, yuccas, crepe myrtle & erythnia. The number of different plants is quite extraordinary – there are two full time groundsmen who work year round… and it shows.

If you feel so inclined you can bring your own staff as the house has staff quarters. They really have thought of everything!
