Local Information

Paxos boasts some of the bluest waters in Europe, you would be forgiven for dreaming that you were in the Caribbean.  With its endless olive groves and warm waters, Paxos is the most glorious island year round.
There is no airport on the island which has enabled Paxos to retain its simplicity and there is something very pure about the place.

Mass tourism has certainly not reached this idyllic spot, the tavernas are properly local but, due to the attraction of the island to the Italian visitor in recent years the standard of food is amazing for such a small place.
Enjoy delicious home made pasta, glorious salads and scrumptious fresh fish in great surroundings.

Take a boat to visit the white sands of Anti Paxos for the day – book lunch on the beach there and leave your boat bobbing just a few metres away in the blue bay – there is no marina in Anti Paxos, just drop your anchor and swim ashore!

For those cocktail lovers there is the trendy Ben’s beach with its decking and dancing at sunset…certainly the place to go and see the beautiful Italians.  Swim around into Lakkos Bay just by Lakka for the ultimate in barefoot chic.

Those who visit Paxos go back time and time again.

Our View

We are really excited about having this house in our portfolio as it offers the rare mixture of fresh Scandinavian style interiors with local stone. The huge open plan sitting room upstairs with exposed beams made us all want to go home and paint everything white. It oozes cool through out and is the epitome of ‘Hygge’ (enjoying the good things in life). The terrace is the perfect place for some morning yoga (mats are provided) or an evening drink to catch the sunset. Being set right into the hillside and surrounded by cypress and olive trees the house feels very private and peaceful.

Each bedroom has its own sea view and is dotted with original touches such as quirky light fittings. The bathrooms are simple and fresh and reflect the contemporary style of the rest of the house.

The North East of the island is well known for its scattering of beautiful pebble beaches all along the coast and this house is situated between two of our favourites. Lakkos and Orkos Beach are just over a 5 minute steep walk away downhill through the olive groves- perfect for a morning swim (there is an easier route which takes 20).
