Local Information

The crystal clear water of the Ionian islands has to be witnessed first hand. It is possible to charter a yacht or motor boat to lunch on Anti Paxos (2km) or just to explore the hidden beauty in every bay, drop the anchor and swim through the mysterious caves that dot the coastline. The local restaurants are of a very high standard serving both traditional Greek food and the most delicious Italian cuisine. Eating out on Paxos is a pleasure.

White pebble bays on the east coast and majestic white cliffs and deep caves on the west give families a range of things to explore. For the “intrepid”
there are walks through flower filled olive groves, gentle fishing, snorkelling and diving.

Our View

This lovely house in the olive groves is just above the lovely little fishing harbour of Loggos, we have visited it many times. A house like this ticks all the boxes. A large family home which has glorious views across the Ionian. The owners have developed the villa with thought and consideration and we love visiting them here. The beach is a short walk away – just below the house is the Glyfada beach with its exquisite blue waters.

Having holidayed in the Ionian islands for many years the English owners have created a blend of modern and comfortable living with traditional materials in keeping with the vernacular.
During the summer months there is still a good breeze at this height and there are plenty of places you can sit in the shade and enjoy the views.

Here the sea is so blue it is said that it reflects off the underside of the sea gulls as they fly across the water.
