This lovely house sits in the north east of the island above the beautiful village of Lakka which looks down over the sea. The house is very quiet as there are few neighbours, the nearest property is the lighthouse on the headland. There are stunning views across the sea towards mainland Greece & down over Lakka Bay.
It’s a good walk into Lakka (but a two minute drive) where you will find good restaurants and bars as well as boat hire and some very pretty walking. There are some gift shops and an excellent ice cream shop! The scuba diving is based in Lakka and there is a good chemist, several supermarkets and it now has a cash point.
It is possible to walk down to two beaches from the house: Harami in 10 minutes and Planos in about 12 minutes.
There are 360 degree views from the house as it boasts one of the highest positions in the area.
Fly to Corfu from London and most regional airports.
Transfer to Paxos either by private sea taxi or hydrofoil (one hour) – we can help with all transfers from Corfu to Paxos
Paxos boasts some of the bluest waters in Europe, you would be forgiven for dreaming that you were in the Caribbean. With its endless olive groves and warm waters, Paxos is the most glorious island year round.
There is no airport on the island which has enabled Paxos to retain its simplicity and there is something very pure about the place.
There is a SCUBA diving hire place in Lakka, you can rent boats in the village too. For those who love walking Paxos offers a wide variety of treks. There are various museums and a music festival in September. Something for everything.
Mass tourism has certainly not reached this idyllic spot, the tavernas are properly local but, due to the attraction of the island to the Italian visitor in recent years the standard of food is amazing for such a small place.
Enjoy delicious home made pasta, glorious salads and scrumptious fresh fish in great surroundings.
Take a boat to visit the white sands of Anti Paxos for the day – book lunch on the beach there and leave your boat bobbing just a few metres away in the blue bay – there is no marina in Anti Paxos, just drop your anchor and swim ashore!
For those cocktail lovers there is the trendy Ben’s beach with its decking and dancing at sunset…certainly the place to go and see the beautiful Italians. Swim around into Lakkos Bay just by Lakka for the ultimate in barefoot chic.
Those who visit Paxos go back and back.
This beautiful house is located on the headland above Lakka. The perfect hideaway for a large group, this house is utterly private (the nearest neighbour being the lighthouse) with the added bonus of being able to walk into Lakka in 10 minutes. Spectacular views down to the Bay of Lakka and across the Ionian make this one very special place indeed.
We loved the layout of the villa: the main body of the house has spacious living areas, 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms while the three (yes, that’s THREE) separate annexes are entirely self contained with their own bathrooms and kitchens. This is the perfect house for a family with grandparents, teenagers or a nanny who want to be a little bit separate from the main group. A breath taking sunrise observed from the sitting room balcony or a glorious evening sunset sitting beside the pool, both these perfect images are yours.
With a large library of books, a swing ball to keep the children happy & comfy sun beds for the sun worshippers this is a house with great credentials.
