Local Information

White pebble bays on the east coast and majestic white cliffs and deep caves on the west give families a range of things to explore.  For the “intrepid” there are walks through flower filled olive groves, gentle fishing, snorkelling and diving.  The crystal clear water of the Ionian islands has to be witnessed at first hand.  It is said that the sea is so blue that it reflects on the undersides of the seagulls as they fly across the water!

Paxos is a little bit of the Caribbean in Europe! You can rent a boat and go for lunch on Anti Paxos (2km) with its spectacular white, sandy beaches. Take a  cold bag filled with refreshing drinks and explore the hidden beauty in every bay, drop the anchor and swim through the mysterious caves that dot the coastline. The local restaurants are of a high standard serving both traditional Greek food and some Italian cuisine.

Do also visit the other pretty villages: Loggos on the east coast of the island and the small town of Lakka to the north.

Spend an evening at The Sunset Bar in Erimitis looking west over the Ionian sea and down towards the dramatic white cliffs

Our View

This house is in the south of the island in a great spot just outside Gaios. It has been sympathetically converted and has beautiful views across the sea
The pool has lovely wooden decking at one end and stone at the other, there is so much shade that you will able to enjoy your bestseller in the cool out of the glare of the midday sun.
The living areas are open plan and comfortable with wooden floors throughout. The air conditioned bedrooms have good size beds and crisp white linen – so inviting after a long day on the beach or on board one of the local boats.

This would be the perfect spot for those wanting to spend their days on Anti Paxos – hire a boat locally and zip down to the tiny island with the white beaches in no time at all.

Enjoy the evening drinks spot where you can sup on something cold while looking out to sea, a great house for exploring all the joys Paxos has to offer.
