Villa Rosada is a 5 minute drive to Kassiopi – a busy and attractive harbour resort where tradition and tourism meet with happy results. Teenagers love it because of its lively nightlife and shopping.
Avlaki beach is about 2 km away which is the place to go for any watersports that rely on the wind.
San Stefano is a 10 minute drive.
There is a supermarket 2 mins from the villa.
Corfu town is a one hour drive.
Fly to Corfu from London and most regional airports. Villa Rosada is 38 km. About a 50 minute drive.
Corfu, famed for it’s glorious greenery and luscious interior, has become an immensely popular and luxurious destination. Often attracting the A list, this divine island offers stunning beaches, great night life, delectable restaurants and boat hopping between small and quaint tavernas meaning that even the most restless of pleasure seeker will be happy!
The north east coast is full of outstanding bays and white pebbled coves, higher up, away from the coast the interior is home to birds of prey, rare flora and rural simplicity. Water sports a-plenty can be found on many of the local beaches.
Nearby St Stephano is a simple and pretty harbour with seafront tavernas and a delightful beach. The tavernas are lively, day and night and there is also a cocktail bar if the mood takes you.
For the teenagers the night life in Kassiopi is a short drive up the coast.
This is a fine place to spend a family holiday or with a close group of friends, potter into town for delicious local delicacies, take a small boat from to a tiny taverna for a long, lazy lunch of fresh fish and come home to a delicious dinner under the stars.
One of the greatest pleasures of this gorgeous, wooded stretch of coast is that the sea-fronted properties are so accessible by boat. You can spend your mornings stopping off to swim at one or other pebbly cove, admiring the views of mainland Albania before seeking out a new taverna for lunch. All the tavernas have their own wooden jetties and their owners will wave you in, catch your rope and tie up your boat before handing you their menu.
Take the skippered boat out for a day, a wonderful itinerary can be planned ahead of time; visit the stunning nearby islands of Paxos and Antipaxos where you can have lunch before coming back to Corfu for a sundowner at one of the wonderful seaside tavernas.
We were lucky enough to spend two nights at Rosada recently and we really had a wonderfully relaxing time. The villa is really big and ideal for a large family group. The bedrooms are all a good size and comfortable.
There are two swimming pools, one indoor and the other outdoor! What a treat and just heaven for children who want to spend all day swimming.
The white kitchen is fully equipped, very together and the owner has thought of everything. The views from the pool down across the bay of Avlaki are just glorious, what an amazing sight to wake up to. Drinks on the terrace would be just perfect.
There is lots of gym equipment and (for the slightly less energetic) there are masses of places for lounging, both inside and out. Huge white sofas in the sitting room, large chairs in the shade outside and really comfy sun beds in the heat of the day or under the stylish pergola – there are so many different choices of places to loll.
It took us two minutes to drive into Kassiopi for supper and just a little longer down to the glorious San Stefano, this house really is well appointed for all the fun we know you will have here.
