Our View
We recently visited this glorious villa in the north east of Ithaca, an island we have longed to visit. The location and setting of this new house is totally magical, our expectations of Ithaca were high as we had heard so much about it - & we weren’t disappointed!

The villa is very private with spectacular views across the bay and out to Meganissi and Lefkada. Just a short walk down to the crystal clear water below and a quick boat ride over to the pretty little fishing village of Kioni where one would head in the evenings for fresh grilled fish and a carafe of wine or two.

The house has just had a total overhaul, the owners have updated everything keeping comfort and style at the forefront of their minds. The walls are white with splashes of colour in the paintings and cushions - this creates a very relaxing background to a house which has managed to marry indoor and out in perfect harmony.

Although you can get to the village by 4x4 down the winding road you can nip across in the RIB which is included in the cost of the house. The car will probably become secondary!

The bedrooms have all been designed with fresh colours, modern furniture & state of the art bathrooms. The sitting room is light and spacious with extraordinary views across the bay. Outside the sunbeds are plentiful with all other furniture covered in comfy white cushions.

The owners are very sporty and have generously provided waterskis and wake boards for their guests to use at their will. But for those who’s biggest worry will be whether to sit by the pool or in the shade of the olive groves to read, this house is perfect in every way.
Local Information
Ithaca is the second smallest and the most under-developed of all the Ionian islands. There is magic at every turn - one of Greece’s most beautiful islands without a doubt.
The villages have brightly coloured doors and rough walls, lost under countless layers of white wash.

Kioni is one of the nicest villages on the island with three beaches. It has 5 tavernas and 2 bars. There are some lovely little shops for present buying, a great grocery store for provisions (and some lovely fresh produce) as well as countless local walks.

There is a tiny weeeeny ’canteen’ on the beach directly below the house (1 minute walk) where you can get basic food and drink.

Frikes is the next nearest village where there is a very good fish taverna and many more bars.
