Giving you peace of mind when booking with Scott Williams Villas

Here at Scott Williams we are looking forward to helping you with your future holiday plans. We believe strongly in the power of having something to look forward to, and this has never been more important than during these current times. We are dedicated to helping you find the perfect holiday now more than ever.

Our holidays are completely bespoke and individual, so this does then have an impact on the COVID policies for each villa as they are independently owned, so there is no blanket policy that applies to all houses and bookings. We will therefor continue to adapt to the situation as it unfolds supported by the helpful and flexible approach of our owners, with whom we work very closely and are grateful to for their continued support.

If you are unable to travel due to government enforced COVID-19 travel restrictions, we will look to work with the owner of your villa to offer you an alternative date for your holiday so that you still have your holiday to look forward to. If offered alternative dates in this instance, and you choose not to accept them, then our normal cancellation policy will apply.

Please do contact us at any point to discuss your concerns. We will do everything we can to help.

Rest assured that all our villas have COVID-19 hygiene plans in place to ensure that you experience the wonderful, safe, and relaxed holiday that you expect.

FAQs

Q. Can I use my deposit against a different villa?
A. No, as your deposits are specifically for your chosen villa, so any alternative dates would need to still be for your original property.

Q. What COVID-19 government enforced restrictions would I be covered for?
A. We would look to transfer you to later dates in the following circumstances:

  • Government-enforced restrictions such as travel bans or border closures, or a change in FCO advice on travel to/from your specific location and for your specific dates

Q.   Will the price of the villa remain the same if I have had to transfer my booking to a later date?
A.   This would depend on several factors:

  • If your new dates remain in the same price bracket as your original dates, then there would be no additional charge.
  • If your new dates are in a higher price bracket, then you would need to pay the difference. Equally, if the new dates fall in a lower price bracket, then your balance payment would be less.
  • If your new dates are in 2023 and the owner has changed their pricing structure for 2023 bookings, it would be at the discretion of the owners as to whether they honoured the 2022 price for your booking, but if they chose to increase then you would need to cover the costs involved.

Q.   Can a friend take my place if I no longer wish to travel but they are happy to?
A.   We can certainly look into it for you. You would just need to put us in touch with the new lead booker, and we can make sure everything is in place with the relevant details to see if this is possible.

Q.   What if there are requirements to self-isolate, or to present a negative Covid-19 test or vaccination certificate?
A.   If these are put in place for your time of travel, but there are still not any restrictions on travel such as the clauses mentioned previously, then we would consider you able to travel, and so if you chose to cancel in this instance, our normal cancellation policy applies.

Q.   What if I or a member of my party tested positive for COVID-19 and were therefore unable to travel?
A. If there are no current regional or national government enforced restrictions in place for your specific dates and location, then our normal cancellation procedure would still apply. You would need to look to your personal travel insurance in this instance to see what they are eligible to cover.

Q.   What if my travel plans are affected for reasons other than travel restrictions, even if related to COVID-19?

A. If there are no current regional or national government enforced restrictions in place for your specific dates and location, then our normal cancellation procedure would still apply.

Q.   Is there any travel insurance you could recommend that would cover us against COVID-19?
A.   There are now some really comprehensive policies now available, such as those offered by Marks and Spencer, Trailfinders and Battleface. Do contact the relevant companies directly for all questions and queries.

Q.   Are these terms applicable to all your villas?
A.   All the above remains at the discretion of the individual villa owners, and so we would confirm this prior to booking at the point of enquiry. Please feel free to contact us at any point with any queries.
