Sleeps 6

We absolutely loved the villa and the service received by Scott Williams. The villa was spotless and everything was of a very high standard. Mela was a star and it was really helpful having her as a contact on the island.

Local Information

White pebble bays on the east coast and majestic white cliffs and deep caves on the west give families a range of things to explore.  For the “intrepid” there are walks through flower filled olive groves, gentle fishing, snorkelling and diving.  The crystal clear water of the Ionian islands has to be witnessed at first hand.  It is said that the sea is so blue that it reflects on the undersides of the seagulls as they fly across the water!

For families with teenagers or 20 somethings nearby Gaios offers some gentle night life and the only night club on the island. There are some great restaurants nearby and a good choice of bars.

It is possible to charter a yacht or motor boat to lunch on Anti Paxos (2km) or just to explore the hidden beauty in every bay, drop the anchor and swim through the mysterious caves that dot the coastline.  Eating out on Paxos is a total pleasure.  The local restaurants are of a very high standard serving both traditional Greek food and the most delicious Italian cuisine.

Our View

What a place to spend a week or two! The owner welcomed us with open arms and showed us the house on the most beautiful day – he and his wife have spent years planning the house and it shows.
The house is clean lined and beautifully furnished – smooth stone floors throughout and lovely farrow and ball colours leave one feeling rested. The sense of space and light is glorious. The house is full of lovely hand-picked wooden furniture and comfortable beds.
The kitchen is brand new with high quality equipment.
Lie by the pool and enjoy the glorious views of Mongonissi Beach, a great place to nip down to with little ones as this is the only sandy beach on the island.

It is a short stroll down to the little bay below where you can have an early morning dip and pick up your boat to head off to Anti Paxos and the neighbouring little bays.
The terrace by the house has lots of shade, comfortable seating and is the perfect spot to watch the billowing sails of yachts coming and going while sipping a cold glass of wine.
