Bluff Point is only a short walk (5-10 mins) to all the bars and restaurants in English Harbour. Famous Catherine’s Cafe on Pigeon Beach is just 5 minutes walk away.
Fly to Antigua Airport – a direct 8hr flight from London. The villa is 30 minutes from the airport
A car is not necessary but can be hired on a day-by-day basis in English Harbour.
The Caribbean needs no introductions, its crystal waters and fine, white sandy beaches are second to none- and Antigua certainly lives up to the romantic expectation. The island is low key, informal and very much old Caribbean. Restaurants and bars are all open shacks and the dress code is flip flops and floaty dresses. No over the top glitz here.
English Harbour boasts a rich colourful history as the former headquarters of the British Royal Navy’s Caribbean Fleet. Its centrepiece is historic Nelson’s Dockyard, named after Admiral Nelson who lived here from 1784 to 1787. It is the only original working Georgian dockyard in the world and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2016.
Sleeping 16 across three separate buildings, Bluff Point is the perfect place for large family gatherings, as it provides plenty of areas for everyone to come and be together, whilst also giving everyone their own sense of privacy and somewhere to retreat to.
A large wrap-around, covered terrace provides the perfect escape from the midday sun, and is also best position from which to yacht-spot and people watch in the harbour below.
This part of the island also benefits from a wonderfully cooling breeze too keeping the outdoor areas here so comfortable and never too hot.
There are stunning sea views all around, and you’re only a 5 – 10 minute walk from English Harbour and the fabulous Catherine’s Cafe on Pigeon Beach – one of the area’s coolest beach-front restaurants. For the slightly more active amongst you, there are so many wonderful walks in this area, with views from the trails of Montserrat, Redonda, the Pillars of Hercules and many historic naval forts too.
We can’t imagine a better spot than Bluff Point for friends and family to come together and discover the delights and sunshine that this area of Antigua has to offer.
