What a magical spot it was. The teenagers loved being so close to Gaios and loved feeling hidden away from it all. Can't wait to re book. Thanks for all your help!

Local Information
Paxos is a little bit of the Caribbean in Europe, the crystal clear water of the Ionian has to be seen to be believed. You can rent a boat and go for lunch on Anti Paxos (2km) with its spectacular white, sandy beaches. Take a cool bag filled with refreshing drinks and explore the hidden beauty in every bay, drop the anchor and swim through the mysterious caves that dot the coastline. The local restaurants are of a high standard serving both traditional Greek food and some Italian cuisine.
Do also visit the other pretty villages: Loggos on the east coast of the island and the small town of Lakka to the north.
Spend an evening at The Sunset Bar in Erimitis looking west over the Ionian sea and down towards the dramatic white cliffs… something not to be missed!

Ferries operate from Gaios to Anti-Paxos, but most prefer to take their own hire boat across.

Our View

This charming family home dates back at least two centuries. It is an old, grand, traditional Paxiot building of some stature. It was built of local stone and is brimming with beautiful family furniture, lovely fabrics and stone floors. There are exposed original beams throughout the house and the top floor has a gallery passageway from where you can look down into the large sitting room.

There is an outside kitchen by the pool and a table for lunch. The garden has lots of different areas to sit in the shade to read. The different terraces have tumbling rosemary and dappled shade from the surrounding silvery leafed olive trees. At the right time of the year bright pink bougainvillea cascades down through other trees.

Gaios is only 800m away so this house is perfect for teenagers looking for gentle nightlife without a long taxi ride home.
