Local Information

Mallorca itself has so much to offer, beautiful landscapes, excellent traditional cuisine and more than 300 days of sunshine. The rural villages of the north west are ancient and beautiful, locals who built the villages (long before the days of town planning) got it so right, they were limited to local materials they could find so all the houses are built in the same coloured stone as the mountain range which serves as a dramatic back drop.

Nearby Deia is a beautiful place, ancient, cultural and contemporary all at once. It boasts some of the best restaurants on the island, including; Sebastians, Jaimes, Dorada and the Internationally renowned El Olivo which is within the La Residencia Hotel.

The capital city is Palma, just a 15 minute drive away, and is a wonderful place to visit during your stay, with great shopping, lively bars and good restaurants, including many with Michelin stars. The maze of narrow streets in the Arab quarter are wonderfully atmospheric at night, there is a Gothic cathedral and the royal palace is not to be missed.

There is local trekking or horse riding on ancient paths and challenging routes for cyclists. The local experts have excellent knowledge, so will create an unforgettable experience for anyone staying. From helicopter flights over the Tramuntana mountains and along coastal cliffs, to a luxury day on the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean, or an exclusive wine-tasting and lunch in the middle of an olive plantation; anything is possible.

Our View

Canet is a unique and opulent manor house, located on a 300 acre country estate at the foothills of the UNESCO protected Tramuntana mountain range. The long driveway and gated entrance lead you to this picturesque and beautifully restored 13th Century country mansion, surrounded by magical gardens, a labyrinth of citrus, almond and olive trees, a lake and shady garden paths under a tree canopy.

The setting is tranquil and both the house and grounds are immaculately maintained, with an exceptional collection of art both inside and out.

The villa is vast, over 4500 msq with 4 wings and 18 bedrooms. There are numerous areas for dining, 2 professional kitchens, a heated indoor pool, outdoor pool and extensive natural pool, along with a TV room, pool table room and games room for the children, meeting rooms and a floodlit tennis court to highlight just a few things. With so much space, there are so many private spaces guests can retreat to, several entertainment rooms and a choice of outdoor terraces for sharing time and meals.

If you choose to stay at Canet you will experience only the best, delicious meals with local wines, luxurious linens, exceptional service and a bespoke itinerary just for you.

This is a very special place indeed.
