Local Information

The nearest town, Pergola has a couple of restaurants, bakeries, a gelateria and supermarket.

The nearby coastline is wonderful for families. Long sandy beaches which are fully serviced so you can easily rock up and pitch a spot with sun loungers and an umbrella, then wander to the nearest beach bar for ‘fritto misto del mare’ (plates of fried seafood)- delicious! For those who prefer their beaches more on the wild side, the coastline of the national park at Il Conero is staggeringly beautiful. White beaches, blue water and towering cliffs- a bit like the white cliffs of Dover (only with a better climate!)

Nearby Urbino is a must for anyone interested in art, being the birthplace of Raphael and a vibrant university town.

There are two Michelin star restaurants within an easy drive of Casa Aria- ‘Madonnina del Pescatore’ of Moreno Cedroni and ‘Uliassi’ of Mauro Uliassi near Senigallia. In Portonovo restaurant ‘Clandestino’ is worth the extra minutes in the car, the restaurant teeters so close to the edge of the water you feel almost as if you could touch it, and the surroundings are more like a tropical island than the Mediterranean.

Our View

This thoughtfully renovated farmhouse combines stunning architectural and interior design with breathtaking views over the surrounding hills and valleys of Le Marche. Set in one of the most unspoilt areas of Italy, Casa Aria is a seamless fusion of ancient buildings and modern design. A fantastic house for large groups wanting to explore the Adriatic coastline.
