Local Information

The house is in the former village of Genova some 5km from the centre of Palma which is a 15 minute drive.

Palma a wonderful place to visit with great shopping, lively bars and good restaurants as well as a Gothic cathedral. The maze of narrow streets are wonderfully atmospheric at night and the royal palace is not to be missed.

To escape the tourists, explore the Arab quarter of Palma the oldest part of the city and sample the delicious traditional sugar-dusted pastries made the same way for over 400 years. There are guides who can take you around the oldest part of the town.

For the history lovers in the group the 10th Century Banys Arabs or Arab Baths in Palma are worth a trip – finish at the Parc de la Mar for a drink and the best viewing point of the colossal cathedral.

If you want to combine the relaxation of beach life with the pulse of the city then the beaches near Palma would be perfect.
The city has its own beaches include Platja Ca’n Pere Antoni which is 1km in lenght, there is a quieter beach, Ciutat Jardi, which is popular with the locals.
East of Palma is Playa de Palma which is several km in length.

There are more remote beaches a little bit further up the coast, nothing is too far.

The bay of Palma has plenty to offer – day boat excursions and snorkelling trips are a great way to view the island’s stunning coastline.

Take a tour of the Cuevas del Drach ending with a classical concert and a majestic bat ride across the eerily light lake.

Our View

This house is in the highly desirable area of Genova which is a village just outside the capital of Palma. Being just a 15 minute drive from the centre of the town is such a joy, combine the tranquility of the house with the buzz of the city as and when you want.

The views from this house are just wonderful, a huge pool surrounded by sumptuous sun beds with steps up to a raised terrace where you can sit and have delicious drinks in the evening. There are lots of different places to sit outside and enjoy this spectacular view.

Seating on the terrace is so elegant, iron furniture with huge white cushions surround a groovy coffee table. The doors to the house open right up on to the terrace inviting a wonderful inside-outside existence in the summer. Pots of flowers punctuate the steps which lead down to the pool. You would spend all your time on the terrace.

The inside is beautifully finished, polished concrete floors, large rugs, sumptuous furnishings and lovely little details on tables and shelves combine to create a luxurious whole.

The bedrooms are white and inviting, style and luxury come as standard in this beautiful property. Big, white designer bathrooms look out on the stunning view boasting huge fluffy towels ensuring that you will be just as comfortable as at any boutique hotel.

We can’t recommend this house enough for those who love the south of Mallorca and all the delights it holds. This would be a wonderful base from which to explore the island.
