Casa Noa is in the picturesque village of Deia, which sits atop a hill in the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains
Deia itself is under a 5 minute walk from the villa, and has supermarkets, a pharmacy, bars & restaurants
Cala Deia, a pretty shingle beach, is a 25 minute walk away
Two wonderful restaurants are situated near this beach, serving fresh seafood and traditional Mallorcan dishes
Port of Soller is 10km away, and has restaurants, beaches and a lively night life
Valdemossa is 15 minutes away by car
Fly to Palma Mallorca from all London airports and most UK regional airports. Deia is a 40 minute drive
Car Hire recommended but not essential as you can walk into the village
The locals who built the village (long before the days of town planning) just got it so right. They were limited to the local materials they could find so all the houses are built in the same coloured stone as the mountain range which serves as the dramatic back drop.
Heading down the dusty track through the olive groves you find yourselves in the ‘cala’ of Deia, a glorious cove where the few remaining local fishermen still go out at dawn to cast their nets.
Home to many writers and artists over the years, Deia is still a hunting ground for collectors with wonderful exhibitions lasting year round.
You will not want for something to do (day or night) in this seemingly sleepy village. Just spend a few hours here and you will see that it is a vibrant, working local village full of artists, writers and musicians. There is a lot of walking in and around the Deia area. Many walks actually start in the beautiful village itself.
The restaurants in the immediate area are among the best on the island (indeed visitors to Mallorca ensure that a visit to Deia is top of their list).
Restaurants include Sebastians, Jaimes, Dorada and the Internationally renowned, El Olivo which is the 5 star restaurant attached to the Residencia Hotel.
The Hotel has a tennis court where it is possible to rent a time to play, it also has a fabulous spa – good enough to rival any in London.
Year round there are music festivals in Deia and there are endless art exhibitions in the village and at the Residencia.
Casa Noa is such a beautiful house in the very best location, nestled in picturesque Deia.
The house itself has been lovingly restored to such a high standard, with beautiful linens, quirky and original features and comfort and luxury at its heart. The interiors really retain the old Mediterranean charm, making this such a special find.
Right in the heart of Deia, the village’s wonderful bars and shops are a stone’s throw away – this is the perfect pad from which to explore one of the prettiest villages on the whole island. With two terraces from which to enjoy spectacular views over the village, out to sea and into the Tramuntana mountains, you’ll be spoilt for choice! The top terrace is perfect for your tranquil morning coffee, or evening dinner as the sun sets. The second terrace with the beautiful marble infinity pool, is the perfect sun-trap – while away the days with a good read in one of the wicker sun-couches. There’s a large open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area indoors, as well as four beautifully furnished bedrooms with luxurious linens and each with its own individual decor and unique aesthetic. We love the soft-furnishings here, so perfectly curated and simple, this really is modern Mediterranean magic at its finest.
Its easy from this ideal location to wander down to Cala Deia for a morning swim, stopping off at the bakery on your way back with wonderful fresh bread for a breakfast in the morning sun. Hire a car and head a little further afield to the port or Soller or Valldemossa, both around 10km away and well worth a visit.
