When you see this amazing Victorian house nestled in the mist shrouded mountains of the Tay valley it comes as no surprise that the owner is an architect and interior designer. Each piece of furniture is an artwork in itself. Handmade Parisian lighting, sculptured baths and the most elegant oak dining table and chairs make it feel as though you have stepped into an interiors magazine. We love the huge velvet sofas and cosy sheepskins downstairs, and upstairs the bedrooms are a wonderful mix of the highest quality, crisp white sheets and soft wool blankets in bright, abstract patterns. These amazing interiors however are really just a backdrop to the beautiful landscape in the distance behind. The highlands are awe inspiring and make this the perfect place for off-season getaways. Wildflowers and birdsong in spring and blazing colour and earthy scents in autumn, russet coloured bracken, velvety green moss and dappled leaves await those with their walking boots at the ready!
Everything has been thought of here; seasonal flowers displayed throughout the rooms, freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea and outings for children ensuring they come back home in the evening tired and happy after a good dose of the great outdoors. Grown ups will appreciate rising in the morning to the smell of freshly cooked breakfast using delicious local produce and hand made cocktails in the evenings. Nothing is too much trouble.
