Zakynthos is one of the most beautiful of Greek islands. Homer wrote about it in the Iliad and the Odyssey and Ulysses lived here. The Arcadians came and flourished, reaping from its rich fertile soil, as did the Venetians who called it “The Flower of the Levant”. Some of their monasteries still survive in the nearby mountains. The seas around the villas are clean and crystal clear.
The island produces wonderful olive oil, fruit, vegetables, poultry and meat. There are several friendly tavernas (plate-smashing included!), two party nights a week at the Sailing Club and a funky cocktail bar in the nearby port with music until dawn. Something for everyone.
This mini estate is made up of three houses – one larger one where the main action takes place, a smaller (and more peaceful) house and the most gloriously romantic sea folly which sleeps one couple.
On arrival we couldn’t take in the enormity of the view, the clarity of the light and the heat in the air. Quite staggering and memorably special.
Utterly, utterly stunning – luxury to die for!
These three houses are built to the very highest of standards. They combine the raw beauty of Greece and the luxury of a five star private residence. A little like having your own private boutique hotel for the week. The houses sit in a secluded 5-acre estate, gracefully situated on the Ionian sea. The owners have thought of everything to make this amazing property quite unbeatable. Between them they have 25 years experience of professional hospitality and restaurant experience and it shows!
The interiors are really lovely, hand hewn sinks, hand made mattresses and the very best in the latest lotions and potions.
This is easy summer living, exceptional Mediterranean inspired food, fine wines and heavenly beauty treatments. If you don’t want to you won’t have to lift a finger and total privacy means full relaxation.
Lie by the pool, swim in the sea (only a 5 minute walk to the rocks from the house) or enjoy peace in the shade.
Please note that whilst children are warmly welcomed the very young will need supervision due to the high spec interiors.
