A 20 minute tuktuk past along the train line, past the famous Galle cricket ground will take you to the spellbinding Dutch Galle fort. The charm filled cobbled streets of the ancient fort, Galle and the surrounding beaches has something for the whole group. Dripping in rich history and culture, traditional food and craftsmen ship can be found a plenty but throw in some swanky cocktail bars and eclectic art galleries it all takes a different shape! An amazing mix of daytime relaxation and balmy nights with glasses clinking. There are some unforgettable day trips to be organised, don’t miss out on some fabulous sight seeing with whale watching, temple ruins and Safari all within 2hrs drive.
You can’t get any closer to the beach that’s for sure, the house is fantastic distance to beaches, inland restaurants and Galle Fort.
Horizon house feels colonial, old school and with such incredible access to the beach, this house is a diamond. We are met with cooling hand towels after a hot journey and we drift around admiring the historical feel of the place. The Playful and charming colour scheme along with the brilliant array of activities such as the pool table, kids room with games, huge beach front garden, makes for a really wonderful set up for families and the young.
Palm trees droop over the wild beach and turtles hatch just below. Its pretty special.
