Local Information

The picturesque fishing village of Loggos is just 10 minutes walk down a path from the house, it is the smallest of three towns on Paxos, but has some of the best tavernas and bars on the waters edge – for the best breakfast head to Taxidi, and in the evening, cocktails at Roxy before dinner at Vasilis. You will also find boutique shops, mini-markets, a bakery and boat hire – no trip to Paxos is complete without a day out on a boat. The bays around Loggos are without question some of the best places to snorkel on the island.
The beaches of Levrechio and Marmari are easily accessible from the house within 20 minutes walking and a little further on you will find Kipos and Kipiadi beaches, about 5 minutes by car.

White pebble bays on the east coast and majestic white cliffs and deep caves on the west give families a range of things to explore. For the “intrepid” there are walks through flower filled olive groves, gentle fishing, snorkeling and diving.

It is possible to charter a yacht or motor boat to lunch on Anti Paxos (2km) or just to explore the hidden beauty in every bay, drop the anchor and swim through the mysterious caves that dot the coastline.

Our View

Koutsi is one of the two villas that make up Koutsi Garden, but during the low season months can be rented individually. When we first saw these villas, we were so excited to see that they could easily be rented apart as well as together. The space between them and the different directions they face allows complete privacy, so we are so glad that smaller groups can also enjoy these beautiful villas, and not merely large ones.

Koutsi is found nestled in the olive groves just above the beautiful village of Loggos, one of the smallest of the three main towns in Paxos, but no less booming with great bars, delicious restaurants and charming little shops. You’ll have everything you need here.

The villa boasts a large open plan kitchen and living room with doors separating the two, allowing the living room to host two additional guests if required. Up the stairs from the kitchen, you’ll find a large master double bedroom with a gorgeous green tiled bathroom with large tub and separate rain shower. Glass doors from the kitchen lead you onto a huge terrace which spans across the entire length of the villa. Even with the long dining table and comfortable seating area, there still leaves plenty of room on the terrace for a morning of yoga looking out across that sparkling Ionian sea. This villa would be absolutely perfect for anyone looking to host a yoga retreat.
