Valbonne is the nearest market to the house, and is full of wonderful clothes and food on Fridays, well worth a visit during your stay. Another must-see is the Café des Arcades, where you can enjoy a sun kissed cup of coffee (or glass of wine!) The buildings themselves date back to 1519.
Mougins is only 20 minutes away, and is a village full of art and culture, with some fabulous restaurants too. It was also the hometown of Picasso.
Grasse is the largest nearby city, and is the home of the region’s perfume industry. It has a stunning old quarter and some great cafes and restaurants too.
Both Cannes and Nice are around a 30 minute drive away, and with the long beaches, high end shops, and of course the annual film festival amongst other events, Peyloubet is the perfect base from which to explore your surroundings. There are some lovely hill-top villages dotted around such as Opio and Chateaneuf, and The Royal Mougins golf course, amongst many others, is nearby too. Lac de Saint-Cassien is a wonderful lake where you can swim, horse ride around the waterfront paths or even have a polo lesson! Or why not hire a boat and enjoy an afternoon on the water.
With vast grounds surrounding this beautiful estate, the sea views and gorgeous terraces with lavender, roses and ancient olive trees, Peyloubet really is a slice of paradise.
As you approach the property from a long and winding driveway, the views of both the countryside and the sea take your breath away. Spacious and luxurious interiors throughout, this is a home from home and you can tell how much thought and considerations its owners have put in to making sure that their guests love it as much as they do.
The house itself dates back to the 18th century, and is ideally located within easy reach of all the main areas of interest in the region.
Indoors, each bedroom is so spacious and with comfortable (and large) beds, en suite bathrooms and they make the most of the wonderful views too. You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to spots for lounging, whether you fancy an afternoon siesta under the shade, curling up with a good book in the sunshine or evening drinks out on the terrace, every need has been catered for here, and you’ve even a choice of kitchens, with a fabulous outdoor kitchen, well-equipped and perfect for alfresco lunches and suppers.
The pool is big enough for lengths, and great for a spot of gentle exercise whilst soaking in the views, and there are plenty of outdoor games to keep the children (and some adults!) entertained, with boules and even croquet. One of the best things about the outdoor space here is the luscious green lawns too. The olive trees surrounding the property are harvested at the end of each year and pressed at the local mill into delicious virgin cold pressed olive oil, and there are both fig and orange trees too, which are whipped up in to tasty jams, chutney and marmalade.
Peyloubet is the perfect place to retreat to after enjoying the activities and delights on offer from in surrounding region. We are very confident you’ll have an incredible holiday here.
