It is quite staggering how beautiful the waters around Paxos are. You wouldn’t be forgiven for thinking you were in the Caribbean…warm seas and big sunsets make the island a fabulous destination that still hasn’t been spoiled by the influx of too many tourists.
It is possible to charter a yacht or motor boat to lunch on Anti Paxos (2km) or just to explore the hidden beauty in every bay, drop the anchor and swim through the mysterious caves that dot the coastline. The local restaurants serve both traditional Greek food and the most delicious Italian cuisine. Eating out on Paxos is a pleasure – there’s lots of choice for a small island we think you’ll be amazed.
There are white pebble bays on the east coast and majestic white cliffs and deep caves on the west which give guests a range of things to explore. There are walks through flower filled olive groves, gentle fishing, snorkeling and diving.
Villa Nero has one of the most beautiful view across the Ionian sea. This property was our first luxurious Paxos house on our books.
The property is a stone’s throw from literally the best beach on the island (down through the olive groves) – a gorgeous quick walk. A little more strenuous on the way up but we were normally full of delicious seafood or Boutari so it wasn’t too tricky! The villa occupies an astonishingly beautiful position with unobstructed panoramic views of the cypress and olive trees over the vast turquoise blue Ionian Sea.
Walking into the house we were struck by the light and the view through the floor to ceiling windows across the Ionian. The fusion of breath-taking scenery, sun-drenched terraces and serene spacious interiors make this a truly spectacular house. It is fitted and furnished with beautiful stone and oak floors throughout. The light, spacious interiors and chic, bohemian exterior make for a fabulous environment in which to really unwind.
This is one great place and we would advise anyone with any inclination to go to Paxos to book it right away! We have several families who have gone back and back to this beautiful place.
