The nearest village is Lakka which is a 7 minute drive, and has restaurants, bars, boat hire and scuba diving
Loggos is a 10 minute drive and Gaios is a 20 minute drive
Fly to Corfu from London and most regional airports.
Transfer to the island either by hydrofoil or sea taxi (licensed to 10 people maximum per boat) journey time 1hr
We can arrange transfers from Corfu airport
Paxos boasts some of the bluest waters in Europe, you would be forgiven for dreaming that you were in the Caribbean. With its endless olive groves and warm waters, Paxos is the most glorious island year round.
There is no airport on the island which has enabled Paxos to retain its simplicity and there is something very pure about the place.
Mass tourism has certainly not reached this idyllic spot, the tavernas are properly local but, due to the attraction of the island to the Italian visitor in recent years the standard of food is amazing for such a small place.
Enjoy delicious home made pasta, glorious salads and scrumptious fresh fish in great surroundings.
Take a boat to visit the white sands of Anti Paxos for the day – book lunch on the beach there and leave your boat bobbing just a few metres away in the blue bay – there is no marina in Anti Paxos, just drop your anchor and swim ashore!
For those cocktail lovers there is the trendy Ben’s beach with its decking and dancing at sunset…certainly the place to go and see the beautiful Italians. Swim around into Lakkos Bay just by Lakka for the ultimate in barefoot chic.
Those who visit Paxos go back and back.
This house has been built to a very high standard indeed. It has some of the best views in the north of the island.
We arrived at the villa up a little road with lovely Lakka down to our left hand side and a glorious view of the sea to our right. The location is really unique, it is a great house to base oneself at as it is walking distance down into the delightful little village. The beaches of Orkos and Arkoudaki are a short walk away – sensible footwear is advised.
The house has been built on a large 2800 sqm plot. Although newly planted, there is lavender growing around the pool with jasmine and beautiful old olive trees also growing on the plot.
Enjoy a long, lazy lunch on the terrace which has beautiful views of the sea and is shaded from the midday sun. A quick snooze after lunch under the pergola would be perfect. A day by the pool, the nearby beach or on board a little boat – what a perfect way to while away the hours on this delightful island. Come back to the villa for a refreshing shower and relax on the terrace with a cocktail to enjoy the sunset.
The younger children will be safe here as the owners have carefully installed railings outside around the verandah and near the pool (obviously the full responsibility for the safety of all children is of the adults staying at the villa).
The interiors of the house are very stylish, beautifully renovated antiques from Brussels sit alongside contemporary design. Subtle colours have been carefully chosen to create a calm home and a glorious space in which to holiday. The owners have chosen the pieces of furniture, the pictures and the little details with enormous care and it has really paid off. This doesn’t look or feel like your average rental house. It will soon become a favourite with our clients and we know people will want to return to this haven year after year.
