Somerhaze is set in beautiful Somerset countryside a stones throw from the buzzing market town of Frome with it’s plethora of independent boutiques and eateries. You can walk into town across the fields (25-30 mins) or drive (4 mins).
Orchardleigh estate is next door and Babington House (part of the Soho House group) is a 10 minute drive.

Transport

Private driveway and parking
A few minutes drive to Frome

River and cross country walks on the doorstep including a 20 minute walk into central Frome. Links to the National Cycle Network are just outside the door.

Local Information

The nearest town is Frome, where the old streets are lined with quirky independent shops and cafes. The town really comes alive once a month at the local market where stallholders pack together to sell fabulous food and homemade wares. Weekend mornings are bustling with cosmopolitan types sitting at bistro tables on the cobbled streets, chatting over their morning coffees.

Bruton is another historic town within easy reach. Home to the very cool art gallery Hauser and Wirth, an outdoor activity centre for children at Mill on the Brue and some fabulous restaurants- we love At The Chapel, Matt’s Kitchen and the Roth Bar and grill.

The Newt in Somerset is a newly opened estate with magnificent walled gardens, a glasshouse, farm shop, restaurants and cafe. A wonderful day out- not to be missed.

Our View

A totally fabulous house on outskirts of Frome. A perfect retreat from busy city life or a luxury option for Somerset festivals including Glastonbury festival.
We loved the vibe and the pool is HEAVEN!
