We are so lucky to have this fabulous house designed by a local architect in our UK programme. Magnificently rising from green, mossy banks and the beautiful wildlife ponds below, it’s a spectacular example of modern architecture meets the natural world. Inside, the wooden clad living area is the heart of the house – floor to ceiling windows with seating surround most of the room and the rustling trees outside become part of the space. The bedrooms and bathrooms are simply but beautifully and thoughtfully furnished, each one seems to have a quirky feature of its own. We love the master bedroom with free-standing bath placed between two huge windows, downstairs also there is a quirky toddler bed built into the double bed below.
Come here for a very cool but very down to earth holiday.
