Our View

Thinking of a holiday on Sri Lanka’s coast line, one would only envisage a beach side location. Our Lakeside properties are here to prove otherwise. Villa Hindra is the epitome of calm and tranquility. Birds swoop and dive just touching the calm lake waters. Monitor lizards bathe and peacocks graze.
After a day spent at the beach where the Indian Ocean turns and rushes, returning to Lakeside House for sunset is so restoring and comforting. Dinner is laid and sounds of the dusk fall in. Lights from across the water twinkle. The owner assures us she rarely uses the air conditioning thanks to the cool breeze off the lake. 4 poster beds with lavish nets are closed and lights glow from the rooms. The traditional water bowl bubbles soothingly. You’ll need a stack of books and some binoculars for spotting wildlife.
