Local Information

The property is very well placed for trips to more famous hilltop towns including Montepulciano, Siena, Assisi, Cortona and numerous others, all less than an hour away. Castiglione del Lago is less than ten minutes drive from the villa. Situated on a small peninsular on the western side of Lake Trasimeno, the historic centre has an ancient fortress and palace with breathtaking views over the lake. There is a beach with water sports and boat hire facilities and there are open-air music, art and film events in the summer months. The vibrant Etruscan town of Cortona is less than half an hour away and is renowned for its restaurants, bars and shops, as well as exerting a cultural pull with its archaeological sites, Etruscan tombs, MAEC Museum, Teatro Signorelli and San Margherita Abbey.

Our View

This beautiful villa, set in the heart of Italy, just boasts elegance. The interiors have been refurbished as well as restoring the old qualities rather than disguising them, like the cementine tiled bedroom floors and the beautiful fountain in the garden. However, there is no deny that the highlight is that central staircase that winds up the hall. Hand-carved from sandstone, it is a rare example and one of the best of its kind.
Just minutes from the sleepy town of Pozzoulo, this villa is in the most perfect location. Relax and drift away by the salt water pool before heading out for dinner on the square.
