The house is set in the hillside, 2.5kms from Sivota harbour (Just under 10 minutes by car). Sivota is a gorgeous seaside village with a natural harbour and small shingle beach
There are many beaches within easy reach
Lefkas town is 32 km
Fly to Preveza from Gatwick and some provincial airports.
Preveza is on the Greek mainland, approximately 55km from the villa, about an hour’s drive.
Lefkada is accessed by a bridge which attaches the island to the mainland.
A hire car is essential. We recommend a mini SUV or similar.
The west coast of Lefkada boasts long, sandy beaches and the vibe on the island is generally very laid back, all about the outdoors and having fun. There is so much to see and so much to do.
Sivota is well suited for boating. It has a wonderful small marina, great shops and a good choice of tavernas. You can take a walk to the harbour in 30 minutes.
Hire a boat nearby and chug out to the delightful island of Meganissi, here eat in one of the fabulous fish tavernas, spend the day diving in the turquoise water before heading home to enjoy a drink on the terrace.
There are waterfalls, paths to hike and with a coastline of 117 kilometres this is the island to come to for variety, watersports and having fun. There’s literally everything from diving, windsurfing (for which the island is very well known), kitesurfing and sailing as well as waterskiing, canoeing and just pottering around in small boats. Agios Ioannis is very well known for windsurfing and there are many competitions here which surfers travel to from all over the globe.
There are ancient Greek Orthodox churches to visit, tiny mountain villages to explore, many coves to swim in from your boat as well as hundreds of great restaurants and bars to enjoy. You certainly won’t suffer from island fever when here, there’s far too much to do.
Local to Lefkada are Kefalonia and Ithaca, it is incredibly easy to visit both of these islands during your stay. There are ferries, sea taxis or… take your own boat!
Villa Sky nestles into the verdant mountainside above Sivota. Olive trees carpet the landscape sloping downwards downwards towards the harbour. From here, the house commands magnificent views of the Ionian sea and beyond. The owners have created a wonderful outdoor space that really makes the most of the view with various seating and lounge areas dotted along the terrace.
Inside, the ground floor living area is completely open plan with large doors opening out onto the terrace. Perfect for wandering in and out during the day. The bedrooms are modern, with chunky wooden bedframes, contemporary lighting and original artwork by the owner. The two upstairs bedrooms open onto a balcony and the ground floor bedroom opens out onto the main terrace.
This house is the perfect place to explore the beautiful island of Lefkada.
