Location

Located near Geni, Lefkada
Skorpios is directly opposite over the water

Transport

Fly to Preveza from Gatwick and some provincial airports.

Preveza airport is on the Greek mainland, just under an hour from the villa
Lefkada is accessed by a bridge which attaches the island to the mainland

Take a taxi from the airport to Nydri, from there take a water taxi which is the best way to reach the house

Boat hire is highly recommended as the best and fastest way to get around
The track to the house is uneven so we would not recommend a car low to the ground

Local Information

The west coast of Lefkada boasts long, sandy beaches and the vibe on the island is generally very laid back, all about the outdoors and having fun. There is so much to see and so much to do.
Sivota is well suited for boating. It has a wonderful small marina, great shops and a good choice of tavernas.

Hire a boat nearby and chug out to the delightful island of Meganissi, here eat in one of the fabulous fish tavernas, spend the day diving in the turquoise water before heading home to enjoy a drink on the terrace.

There are waterfalls, paths to hike and with a coastline of 117 kilometres this is the island to come to for variety, watersports and having fun. There’s literally everything from diving, windsurfing (for which the island is very well known), kitesurfing and sailing as well as waterskiing, canoeing and just pottering around in small boats. Agios Ioannis is very well known for windsurfing and there are many competitions here which surfers travel to from all over the globe.

There are ancient Greek Orthodox churches to visit, tiny mountain villages to explore, many coves to swim in from your boat as well as hundreds of great restaurants and bars to enjoy. You certainly won’t suffer from island fever when here, there’s far too much to do.

Local to Lefkada are Kefalonia and Ithaca, it is incredibly easy to visit both of these islands during your stay. There are ferries, sea taxis or… take your own boat!

Our View

A secret hideaway opposite Skorpios, with magnificent views stretching out across the mystical islands of the southern Ionian. The main living area has a Moroccan vibe and it is incredibly light with panoramic views from every window.

The bedrooms, are light and airy, each one affording an individual style. The comfortable master bedroom has a colonial feel and the luxurious bathroom has a large walk in shower and contemporary roll top bath, from which you can soak up the staggering views.

Outside, the generous terrace has a wonderfully positioned dining area, shaded by a magnificent grape vine- perfect for long lazy lunches or relaxing in the adjacent seating area. Another vine-covered walkway with cobbled steps beckons you to the enticing water where the wooden deck at the bottom provides a large sunbathing area, together with steps leading into the sea. The calm waters in the bay are perfect for a dip at any time of the day or, for the more adventurous, water sports.

The sloping garden has many seating areas outdoors: a lounging area adjacent to the outside dining table, a cabana with a sofa/day bed overlooking the bay, the olive tree area on a terrace below with seating and sunbeds and a small lookout area for 2 off the main terrace area.
