Situated on the southeast shore of the island, the villa enjoys spectacular sea views and easy sea access. There is a great restaurant just a short 7 – 10 minute walk from the house
Sumartin is a 10 – 15-minute bike ride from the villa
Zlatni Rat beach is a 30-minute drive away
Bol is a 35-minute drive away
Supetar is a 50-minute drive away
Milna is a 1hr drive away

Villa Zara is a short walk to the nearest beach, Plaza Prva Vala, and there are several more little swim spots along the coastal road on route in to Sumartin too.
There is a lovely restaurant within easy walking distance of the house, and nearby Sumartin is a bustling sea-front town home to some more family-run ‘konobas’, supermarkets, a bakery and some cafes right on the water. This is also the main port for the ferry over to Makarska on the mainland.
Slightly further afield is the town of Bol on the South side of the island. Explore the town’s winding cobbled streets bustling with local life. There are weekly produce markets to explore, more restaurants and some great architectural examples of the history of the island.
Zara is perfectly situated right on the waterfront in Brac, a much sought-after location with its own access in to the azure waters of the Adriatic from its very own seaside sundeck. Head out for a day on the water with the resident boat and skipper, stopping at secluded coves with ample swimming opportunities, secret lunch spots at seafront restaurants and many historical sites along the way.
Why we love it
This is the perfect house for families as there is just so much space. There’s ample outdoor seating for everyone, what with sunbathing hammocks, swing chairs, sumptuous sun-loungers.. curl up with a good book and settle in for the afternoon. Complete with sea kayaks, snorkel gear and stand-up paddle boards, this is the perfect villa for water-sport lovers, and for those not quite so actively-inclined, enjoy spectating from above in the comfort of your infinity-edge swimming pool.
